I am at a place in my life that requires me to think of what I am. The thought comes father, husband, son-in-law, brother, son, uncle, and pastor. All of these titles and relationship are very true. But there is one that is at the top of the list, DISCIPLE. Yes, I am a disciple of Christ. God’s love has rescued me from some very destructive paths and lifestyles. He didn’t tame the beast in me, but is training me to fight the good fight. So my love for God has blessed me with these titles and relationships: Husband to a beautiful, mighty, and powerful Soo Ji, father to Juaquin His loved one, Nayara the warrior in the Spirit, son-in-law to amazing Korean parents, brother to a Eddie who will tell of God story, uncle to a creative and successful Leo, son to a wonder, brilliant, loving, sacrificing, selfless, and God’s daughter Victoria, and a pastor to all people who God sends me, and friend to some amazing people from all over mostly out casted people. So, I am on a journey of discipleship. Becoming like Jesus the way the 12 did in the New Testament. At times they were confused, doubted, and challenged to walk in faith without knowing what is next. So, if you are reading this, please remember me as a DISCIPLE who loved God with all I have. I am ready to go out in to all the world and preach the Good News. So, my Lord let the discipleship lessons begin. I have been waiting for a time like this.

A New Beginning
Since January of this year it has been a new beginning. I stepped out of my half time position as youth pastor and decided to work full time for the school district. The decision did not come easy, but is definitely God lead. I have been in Washington for about 9 1/2 years now. Came to pursue ministry through getting my BA in Pastoral Ministries at Northwest University. I achived that and more here. I left everything back in North Las Vegas, and gain my lovely wife Soo Ji and two beautiful kids, Juaquin 3yrs, and Nayara 1yr.
Moving here in 2001 was a new beginning, but now in 2011, it feels like a new beginning all over again. It is great not work two or more jobs. I am having the time of my life, spending quality time with my family. Catching up with friends and family. I know God has something new in store for me, or more like a contiuation of what he began in me at the age of 15 (Philippians 1:6). God's work is never completed in me, it is more like I am daily discovering who I am in Christ.
Though the journey of my life has been difficult at times, I am enjoying the God moments with people in my life. I am missing being youth pastor, but I love being dad and husband and a disciple. Be praying for me as I seek God's direction for ministry, and pray for a refreshing in me
Peace
